At the end of the 19th century, the industrial revolution began in Amsterdam. The Victoria Hotel was part of this transformation, as a plan to attract affluent tourists from overseas. Victoria hotel, as you see it today, still retains some of its heritage dating back to the 17th century.
Park plaza Victoria Amsterdam has paid homage to two remaining 17th century houses that still exist in their own right along the Damrak, now operating as souvenir shops. These two buildings originally housed a tailor and a liquor retailer.
Vic’s bar takes on a modern approach, showcasing an international cocktail menu, some seasonal bites, a roaring fire with DJ sets Friday and Saturday as well as live jazz twice a month. We pride ourselves on being the perfect escapism from the bustle of the Damrak.
